Parks

Parks CrewWelcome to the City of Hayden's Parks Department.
Hayden’s Parks Department consists of two full-time and four seasonal employees led by Parks Maintenance Crew Leader, Ron Reno.  Together, these highly trained and capable individuals groom and maintain the 63 acres of developed parks land within the City of Hayden.

Parks Division is tasked with the maintenance of Hayden’s six municipal parks, Honeysuckle Beach, the City docks and boat launch, building facilities, and athletic fields.

Parks workers oversee the implementation of Hayden’s Noxious Weeds Control Program, the Turf Management Program, along with the maintenance of trees and forested areas within the City.

During the winter months, the Parks Division teams with workers from the Department of Public Works Streets Division to conduct snow and ice removal operations.  In periods of warm weather, Parks workers participate in street sweeping and litter control throughout the City.

The Parks Division also supports the many and varied recreational programs offered by the City of Hayden and such local organizations as the Hayden Little League, the Coeur d’Alene Crush, and the Coeur d’Alene Sting Soccer Club.  Additionally, Parks workers actively support a number of signature community events to include: the Hayden Kite Festival, Hayden Memorial Day Ceremony, Hayden Days, the Hayden View Triathlon, Hayden Veteran’s Day Parade & Ceremony and the “Hayden Lights” Holiday Celebration.
